No, we will accept any dollar amount placed.  Naturally, for the very small balances, we will limit the amount of time spent in relation to the potential return. 

There are many variables that go into a decision to close an account.  However, we will actively work an account until we are absolutely sure that all efforts have been exhausted.  ABS will always supply a report and a reason(s) why an account will be closed.

No.  We work on a contingency fee basis, which means that we’re not just paid for our efforts.  There is a fee charged ONLY when payment is received.

Yes, we have Collection Attorneys that we partner with in all 50 states.  We will only litigate with our clients’ approval.  Because our fees do increase with litigation, ABS will do everything we can to avoid filing suit. 

First, there is no fee unless we recover money on your files. Our fees for non-litigated files are between 10% and 25%. Our fees for litigated files are 35%. As each situation (industry, balance range, age of receivables) is different we need to speak to our clients to properly set our fees. What you will get are the most competitive fees in the industry.
Technically, first-party collections refer to in-house debt collection and third-party collections refer to outsourced collection agencies. First-party agencies are often subsidiaries of the provider where the debt is owed to; while third-party agencies are separate companies contracted by the provider to collect debts on their behalf.
